A Future Tense in "When I'm gone"

The singer in the video clip is certain that something's going to happen in the future. What is it?

Yeap, we use be going to when we're sure that something will happen. Have a look at the sentences below and try to fill in the blanks:

1. It's cloudy. ......................................................... rain.
2. She hasn't studied. ............................................. fail.
3. They're trying over and over again. ......................... make it!

Right now you must be ready to know whether the following statements are true or false. If false, correct them:
  1. She's going on a short trip.
  2. She's got two tickets.
  3. On the way to her destination, she's just going to have some soft drinks.
  4. She'd like to travel on her own.
  5. She's leaving the day after.
  6. When she leaves, nobody is going to think of her.
  7. Her hair, the way she walks or talks are not particularly appealing to anybody.
SPEAKING:
a) Do you think it's a farewell song or a kind of invitation for somebody to go away with her?

b) Maybe the main idea of the song is the fact of MISSING somebody. If you had to leave your hometown, what or who would you miss? Why?

c) Are you going to miss anyone when the school year finishes?

Kiss by Prince -or The Absence Of Obligation

Pay attention at the chorus and write down two sentences showing an absence of obligation.  If necessary, you've got the lyrics below.

You don't have to be beautiful
to turn me on
I just need your body baby
From dusk till dawn
You don't need experience
To turn me out
You just leave it all up to me
I'm gonna show you what it's all about

You don't have to be rich
To be my girl
You don't have to be cool
To rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with
I just want your extra time and your

Kiss

You got to not talk dirty, baby
If you wanna impress me
You can't be to flirty, mama
I know how to undress me (Yeah)
I want to be your fantasy
Maybe you could be mine
You just leave it all up to me
We could have a good time

You don't have to be rich
To be my girl
You don't have 2 be cool
To rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with
I just want your extra time and your

Kiss

Yes
I think I wanna dance
Gotta, Gotta
Little girl Wendy's parade
Gotta, gotta, gotta

Women not girls rule my world
I said they rule my world
Act your age, mama (Not your shoe size)
Not your shoe size
Maybe we could do the twirl
You don't have to watch Dynasty
To have an attitude
You just leave it all up to me
My love will be your food
Yeah

You don't have to be rich
To be my girl
You don't have to be cool
To rule my world
Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with
I just want your extra time and your
Kiss

Plans, Intentions and Resolutions

a) Listen and take note of the decisions and intentions of this man in love.
b) Are there any of his decisions and intentions you would disagree with if you were also in love?

I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), by the Proclaimers

When I wake up yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
When I go out yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you

If I get drunk yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you
And if I haver yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm working yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you
And when the money comes in for the work I'll do
I'll pass almost every penny on to you

When I come home yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm lonely yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's lonely without you
When I'm dreaming yes I know I'm gonna dream
Dream about the time when I'm with you.

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door
